Department of Environmental and Natural Resource Economics
University of Rhode Island
The Department of Environmental and Natural Resource Economics (ENRE) at the University of Rhode Island has the world’s largest faculty of natural resource and environmental economists. ENRE’s approach is solution-oriented, bringing researchers, students, communities and business together to identify pathways that sustain society. ENRE takes pride in a record of academically rigorous contributions to evaluate, design and implement solutions to critical environmental and natural resource problems, to understanding individual and societal values for the environment and amenities, and to inform society’s decisions. Faculty members Chris Anderson, Stephen Swallow, and Emi Uchida, as well as several graduate students, are actively involved in the Nature Services Exchange of Jamestown.
